On Monday 22 October, Joan Herrera presented the proposal to the CNMC in Madrid to change the remuneration framework so that distributors are remunerated according to their diligence in the legalisation and activation of self-consumption. In this way, lack of diligence will also have consequences for the remuneration received by these companies.
AMEP (Associació de Municipis i Entitats per l’Energia Pública), relied on SAMSØ and its network of collaborators, specifically Isabel Bassas, an expert lawyer in electricity distribution, for the complex task of proposing the necessary regulatory changes for this purpose. This was done within the framework of the presentation of allegations in the public hearing process launched by the CNMC to update the design of the regulated remuneration of distributors.
This action was coordinated with representatives of member entities of the Alliance for Self-consumption such as Fundació Renovables, Ecooo Energia Ciutadana, HolaLuz, UNEF and Som Energia. The ultimate aim of this joint work, led by SAMSØ, is to contribute, for the benefit of all supporters and promoters of collective self-consumption, to ensure that the regulations can differentiate, for remuneration purposes, the diligence of distributors.
